Audio Description

Audio description is a technique used to make audio-visual works accessible to the visually impaired. It translates images into text, portraying the spirit of the work and the intentions of its director.

Working with around twenty authors, we write the text, usually as a duo.

We then go through a proofreading process with a visually impaired person to check the quality of our text, before studio recording with professional actors and mixers.

Finally, our teams prepare all the mixes needed to create the DCP, broadcast master, Blu- Ray or DVD.

SDH Subtitles

Subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing are a key element of a film’s accessibility.

We create these in compliance with Arcom’s guidelines (French regulator), particularly in terms of conciseness, timing, layout and colors. We also carry out all the exports requested by the labs.

Trained in the use of EZ Titles 6, our teams are just as adept at producing SDHs for DCP and adapting them to CEEFAX standards as they are at developing SDHs for platforms such as Netflix, Amazon and Paramount.

Subtitle Localization

We produce French subtitles for foreign-language films.

Nous produisons également des sous-titres en langues étrangères, principalement l’anglais, l’allemand, l’italien ou l’espagnol.

Dans le cadre de ces projets, nos équipes réalisent un repérage complet de l’œuvre qui sera fourni au·à la traducteur·rice. Nous avons la possibilité de gérer la traduction en interne, ou bien de travailler avec une personne proposée par la production.

Nous réalisons enfin dans nos locaux une simulation en présence du·de la traducteur·rice et des équipes du film, avant de nous occuper de l’ensemble des exports techniques.

At the same time, we also produce temporary subtitles, either for festivals or for the edit/cut phases of the streaming platforms.

Voiceover

Initially developed for audio description with foreign-language sequences, we now manage full voiceover projects, notably for documentaries. With a repertoire of several hundred actors, we can offer a wide range of voice types.

Spotting Lists

A key element for international projects, we produce spotting lists, which include all the film's dialogues, characters, timecodes and sequences.

We can also produce broadcast lists for US platforms, including all sound elements.
